Our Drug Free Week was a huge success. We focused on being super heroes, and decorated our classroom door with each of our pictures wearing a cape and our super power. We even had a cool, easily made Super Hero Hulk!
Our class discussions were about how we have the power to to say "no," to drugs, and we also have the power to change the world. We had great talks about what an agent of change is and can be...and then we learned the song, "Agents of Change." There are a couple of versions on YouTube. It's powerful. You should listen! One day, you might here it my channel. For now, there are lots of super kids singing it.
Our Halloween was a great success too. Our parents helped us with a cookie store where the kids got to design their own cookie and buy their ingredients with their 10 pennies. I love it when food/treats are part of a math lesson.
Have a great new week! ~ Marie :0)
